Dear Parents and Carers
As you will be aware from previous correspondence we postponed the planned Year 11 Parents’ Evening from 29th September 2016. We felt that we needed to undertake baseline examinations in English and maths and so would be able to give you and your child more meaningful information after this.
The new date for Year 11 Parents’ Evening is Thursday 10th November 2016 from 3.30 – 7.0pm.
This is an opportunity for you to meet your child’s individual subject teachers, discuss your child’s progress and to agree how we can work together to support your child to maximise their outcomes in their Key Stage 4 courses.
Your child will be encouraged to make appointments with teachers beforehand on an appointments’ sheet and will record the first appointment time in their student planner. You will collect the full appointments’ sheet on arrival.
Occasionally your child may say they have not made many appointments. Please do not allow this to put you off coming as we make other documents available when you arrive that will enable you to find your child’s teachers and most teachers are able to fit in additional appointments on the night.
Mr Oakley, your child’s Head of Year, will be available to see parents as will Mrs Moor our Special
Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator for Year 11.
We value highly the partnership we have with our parents and carers and do hope that you will be able to attend on 10th November 2016.
Mr A Boyle
Mr T Quinn
