British Schools National Trampoline Finals 2016

Four St Mary's trampoline athletes have been crowned national champions in the British Schools National Trampoline finals. For three of the girls, it is the second year on the run!

Mia Glover, Megan Clayton, Mary Evans Ward and newcomer Bethany Bradley took the Disability team title at the annual competition, held this year at Robin Park Sports Centre and Arena, Wigan.

In all St Mary's entered more than 40 students with notable success in all categories and age groups.

The heats started in November at the North West Regional Schools trampoline competition. The boys entered three teams with the U19 Novice Boys qualifying in second place and Alfred Mupakasa Qualifying in second place as an individual.

The Under 14 boys new to trampolining put in a magnificent effort and ended in third place. The girls also competed well against tough opposition with 5th and 8th positions.

The Disability groups have grown this year with Bethany Bradley, Hannah Mullarkey and Daniel Ellison competing for their first time in these groups. All Disability bouncers qualified for the National Finals.
