Childcare

Childcare is an area that attracts people who are truly passionate about the needs of children. Working with children is an extremely rewarding career, as you get to shape the future generation. Looking after children involves a high level of responsibility. Children are vulnerable: they cannot do much for themselves and they cannot defend themselves from any sort of harm. A person’s childhood can shape his or her character and personality, and it has a great influence over what sort of adult he or she is going to become.

We offer two Childcare Qualifications.

Year 10 & 11 BTEC First, Level 2, Award in Children’s Play Learning and Development

Year 12, CACHE Level 2 Award in Child Development & Care, which is one of our level 2 options for sixth form.
