Key Stage 5

For AS and A level mathematics we follow the MEI Structured Mathematics course, which is assessed by six modules.

Core 1-4 cover the 'Pure' mathematics element of the course; the theoretical elements of mathematics. These are topics such as algebra, co-ordinate geometry, curve sketching, sequences, trigonometry and calculus.

You then have choice of two out of the three other modules.

Statistics 1 covers topics such as data presentation, probability, distributions and hypothesis testing.

Decision Mathematics 1 covers topics such as modelling, algorithms, networks, linear programming and critical path analysis.

Mechanics 1 covers topics such as modelling, vectors, acceleration/velocity/distance, forces, Newton's laws and projectiles.
