6th December 2021

Dear Parents and Carers

RE: Important date’s information for the remainder of this term

10th December

We have received a number of queries in relation to the College closure on 10th December. The College will be closed on this date to all students and the majority of staff as an extra Bank Holiday to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. As the official Bank Holiday for the Queen’s Jubilee falls during a half term break, we were required to amend our published term dates to identify another day elsewhere during this academic year. At St Mary’s the decision was made to close on the 10th December, this has been published on the College website in September.

End of term arrangements

The last day of term is Friday, 17th December. There will be a number of activities during the morning to celebrate Christmas and also to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our students during the last term. Students will be dismissed from 12 noon and will leave the site no later than 12:10pm. We have been informed that school buses will leave at 3pm, as normal, on this day. I understand that most families will arrange for their child to be collected at 12pm, however students that need to stay with us until 3pm will be given the opportunity to complete guided study in the College library. If your child is required to wait until 3pm please complete the following link.    End of Term Link

Carol Service at English Martyrs and Apostles Church

We are delighted that once again we will be holding our annual carol concert at English Martyrs and Apostles Church on Wednesday, 15 December. All parents are very welcome at this event and it would be great to see you there. The carol concert starts at 7:00pm.

Due to the current restrictions we would like you to complete the link below if you would like to attend this event. Details are subject to change and I will inform you should we need to change the arrangements for the Carol Service.    Carol Service Link

Wallasey Village Churches Together event

Finally, VCT is holding a Street Nativity in the front car park of the College on Friday 17 December at 4.30pm. There will be a live crib, with narration, music, and carols. This will be a wonderful event and everybody is welcome.

Yours sincerely
