A SENSE OF BELONGING

WHY CHOOSE US?

A SENSE OF BELONGING

At St Mary’s, we believe that a true sense of belonging is the foundation for success. Every student is valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. We foster a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone feels respected, safe, and empowered to contribute. Our shared values and strong relationships create an environment where students grow in confidence, develop lasting friendships, and take pride in being part of the St Mary’s family.

CATHOLIC LIFE

WHY CHOOSE US?

CATHOLIC LIFE

Our Chapel is at the heart of the school, placing Christ at the centre of everything that we do. St Mary's Catholic College is a community of service guiding young people on a path to opportunity, aspiration and reward, founded on Catholic values.

LITERACY

WHY CHOOSE US?

LITERACY

St Mary's Catholic College, Literacy is at the heart of everything we do. We therefore offer students a wide range of stimulating ways to develop their ability to speak, read and write effectively. From a well-stocked Library to a range of high-quality interventions and our very own School Poet, we strive to help our students to gain Literacy skills that will enable them to thrive throughout their lives.

Work together; Succeed together

These core values have very much been created by all members of our school community. Respect, Courage and Pride came through as Values that staff feel are important to define us a community, Students overwhelmingly selected the term Determination and parents very much suggested Compassion as a core value.

Courage

Courage is about stepping out of our comfort zones and facing challenges with confidence. It means speaking up for what is right, taking risks in our learning, and being resilient when faced with setbacks.

Best story I heard about the Pope A Cadinal escorted two people into the room where thay were to have an audience. He said don't be nervous, treat it like you are meeting your grandad. The pope came in, greeted them and it was like meeting your grandad. He said "I have prepared a written statement but don't read it now ask me some questions"
