Work together; Succeed together
At St Mary’s, we believe that a true sense of belonging is the foundation for success. Every student is valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. We foster a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone feels respected, safe, and empowered to contribute. Our shared values and strong relationships create an environment where students grow in confidence, develop lasting friendships, and take pride in being part of the St Mary’s family.
St Mary's Catholic College welcomes all families who support our values. Our school is rooted in Catholic values which permeate all aspects of work and relationships. Our Chapel is at the heart of the school, placing Christ at the centre of everything that we do. St Mary's Catholic College is a community of service guiding young people on a path to opportunity, aspiration and reward, founded on Catholic values.
We encourage all our students to enrich their learning with extra-curricular activities. We currently offer: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bible Club, Boxing, Breakfast Club, Chess Club, Choir, Debate Team, Duke of Edinburgh, Fitness, Football, Homework Club, House Drama, Judo, Maths Club, Music Lessons, Netball, Rugby, Sixth Form Study, Spoken Word, STEM Group (Science), Table Tennis and Trampoline.
St Mary's Catholic College, Literacy is at the heart of everything we do. We therefore offer students a wide range of stimulating ways to develop their ability to speak, read and write effectively. From a well-stocked Library to a range of high-quality interventions and our very own School Poet, we strive to help our students to gain Literacy skills that will enable them to thrive throughout their lives.
Courage is about stepping out of our comfort zones and facing challenges with confidence. It means speaking up for what is right, taking risks in our learning, and being resilient when faced with setbacks.
Our boys smashed it at the Indoor Cricket Tournament and came away as overall winners after some fantastic performances across the day. Brilliant teamwork, energy and skill on show from start to finish. This result means the team has now qualified for the County Championships, where they will go on to represent the school in the next stage of the competition. A huge well done to all of the boys involved, a brilliant achievement. 🏏

Theme of the Week: Be Seen & Known by God ✨
In this week’s Gospel, Jesus meets a woman at a well and speaks to her with kindness and respect when others would have judged or ignored her. He knows her story, her struggles, and her past, yet He does not shame her. Instead, He offers truth, hope, and understanding. This reminds us that God knows us completely and still loves us deeply. We do not need to hide who we are from Him, because His love is constant and unconditional. 💛
For World Book Day 2026, St Mary’s once again pulled out all the stops! Between Miss Cullen’s Big Book Quiz and her school-wide Seuss on the Loose scavenger hunt, our students have been surrounded by literary appreciation all week!📚
Congratulations to all the Year 6 students who have been successful in getting a place at St Mary’s for September 2026. We are looking forward to meeting with you soon and getting to know you over the next few months before you join us. We can’t wait to welcome you into the St Mary’s family. #welcome #year6 #SMCCfamily
✨ Theme of the Week: Transformation ✨
In this week’s Gospel, Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James and John. His face shining like the sun as God’s voice declares, “This is my Son, whom I love.”
The Transfiguration reminds us that change is part of God’s plan. This Lent, we are invited to pause, reflect and allow His light to transform our hearts.
🌿 How will you grow this week?
