Work together; Succeed together
At St Mary’s, we believe that a true sense of belonging is the foundation for success. Every student is valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. We foster a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone feels respected, safe, and empowered to contribute. Our shared values and strong relationships create an environment where students grow in confidence, develop lasting friendships, and take pride in being part of the St Mary’s family.
St Mary's Catholic College welcomes all families who support our values. Our school is rooted in Catholic values which permeate all aspects of work and relationships. Our Chapel is at the heart of the school, placing Christ at the centre of everything that we do. St Mary's Catholic College is a community of service guiding young people on a path to opportunity, aspiration and reward, founded on Catholic values.
We encourage all our students to enrich their learning with extra-curricular activities. We currently offer: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bible Club, Boxing, Breakfast Club, Chess Club, Choir, Debate Team, Duke of Edinburgh, Fitness, Football, Homework Club, House Drama, Judo, Maths Club, Music Lessons, Netball, Rugby, Sixth Form Study, Spoken Word, STEM Group (Science), Table Tennis and Trampoline.
St Mary's Catholic College, Literacy is at the heart of everything we do. We therefore offer students a wide range of stimulating ways to develop their ability to speak, read and write effectively. From a well-stocked Library to a range of high-quality interventions and our very own School Poet, we strive to help our students to gain Literacy skills that will enable them to thrive throughout their lives.
Courage is about stepping out of our comfort zones and facing challenges with confidence. It means speaking up for what is right, taking risks in our learning, and being resilient when faced with setbacks.
Our amazing Cross Country team tackled a tough course yesterday - complete with a hill finish and soggy conditions - but that didn’t stop them! 🌿👏 They showed incredible determination, teamwork and spirit from start to finish. We’re so proud of how everyone represented the school. 💙

Theme of the week: Don’t Give Up. This week’s Gospel reminds us of the power of persistence. Jesus shares the story of a widow who never gave up asking a judge for justice and eventually, he listened. In the same way, we are called to keep praying, keep trusting, and keep believing, even when things feel hard or our prayers seem unanswered. Faith grows through perseverance. #reflection

Theme of the week: Giving Thanks. In this week’s Gospel, Jesus heals ten men with leprosy, but only one returns to thank Him. This reminds us that gratitude is a powerful act of faith and love. When we take time to notice our blessings, we recognise that every good thing comes from God. Gratitude transforms our hearts, helping us to see beyond our worries and remember that God is always with us. 💛
A thankful heart brings peace, strengthens relationships, and inspires us to use our gifts in service of others. When we live with gratitude, we live with joy. 🌟 #reflection
