In September 2022 the length of the College day was increased by 15 minutes. This was to accommodate the DfE guidance that school should be open for a minimum of 32.5 hours per week. The changes to the structure of the day were also driven by stakeholder voice. The College day now consists of 6.5 hours each day resulting in students attending college for a minimum of 32.5 hours per week. The additional 15 minute per day has been used to accommodate our college wide reading programme, which supports one of our key priorities of improving reading across the college.

All pupils in the College follow a timetable that runs over a two-week period. These timetables should be recorded in the College Planner. It is always useful if a copy of the timetable is kept in a prominent place at home to help in the early days of organisation. The timetables will be given to pupils on their first day of the Autumn Term. It will highlight the Subject, Subject teacher and classroom.
