We are writing to let you know about the next phase of the Year 11 Raising Achievement Plan.
March Mock Results Day
Teachers have marked pupils’ mock exams using exam board standards so that we can provide the most accurate idea, possible, of what grades pupils are at. Marking has been moderated and we are collecting results in over the next few days. We will then be running a mock results event where pupils will collect their results from the Theatre during lesson 5 on Thursday 7th April. Reports will also be sent home to parents and carers.
Y11 Maths Strategy
The Maths team have regrouped year 11 pupils based on Question Level Analysis of their mocks. This means they can further personalise lessons to teach topics that pupils have gaps in. They are also conducting Walking Talking Mocks each week (starting last week) where teachers model exactly how to expertly read and answer the exam paper.
Easter Revision Material
Pupils will have revision to do over Easter, this will be on Google Classroom and also provided to pupils on paper where this is more appropriate.
Easter Booster In-School Sessions
Invites to Easter school will be sent out next week- revision boosters in most subjects are running across the two weeks.
Head of Year 11
Pupils were informed yesterday that Ms Nadiem will be leaving St Mary’s at Easter. We wish Ms Nadiem well in her new school and we’re pleased to announce that Mrs Parry, one of our Associate Deputy Headteachers will be taking over this role until the end of academic year.

These are coming home with pupils today and will also be emailed in a separate message to you.
